Roll lifting and handling

This time we had to supply a system to feed the film rolls in a stretch wrapping machine. We installed a 250 kg jib crane and a chain hoist. We also tailored a roll holding tool which is hanging from the hoist’s hook.

The tool has a shaft in either side, operated by a handle and a spring. The spring keeps the shaft always out, so as to ensure the roll is handled safely.

The rolls, which lay on a pallet, measure 1.5 m in length and weigh about 70kg.
